Our Christmas break has been filled with fun activities and time with friends and family. We are loving every minute of it. We have, of course, played our little hearts out.
Caden loves to finger paint. This was first thing one morning. I think we were up pretty early and he was ready to go.
Caden worked very hard at this block train. He was very proud of it! It is so cute when he tells me, "Mom, I worked so hard to build that!" He says it with all the enthusiasm he can muster.
Caden really wanted to have a Christmas party. He wanted to make sure there were a lot of kids there. So we invited some of our friends and started making plans. Caden was very involved in the planning and getting ready. He picked the menu and the activities. The kids had PB & J while the moms were having sloppy joes. We made and decorated sugar cookies, played with toys, and watched a movie. I am so greatful for the 2 moms who braved the weather. We had at least 8 inches of snow that night and morning. Caden was so excited when he saw the first van pull into our driveway. He came running into the kitchen telling me, "Mom, someone is here!" Like he just couldn't believe it. We had so much fun!!
Caden loves to help shovel the snow. He starts out putting the snow from the driveway and sidewalk onto the grass, but ends up putting the snow back to the driveway and walk. That is when I send him out into the middle of the yard to make a snowfort. :)
This was the snow we were getting the morning of Caden's Christmas party.
Caden also had a Christmas celebration at school. They made little gingerbread houses and had a Polar Express week. They had all the kids wear their PJ's to school and pretended they were riding the Polar Express to the North Pole. Hot chocolate and all. When I picked Caden up that day he had a huge hot chocolate mustache. He really loved it!
