Our Day in a Nutshell

Today Caden saw a man with a beard and asked me how that man got a beard. At first I thought he had said bear and then beer! I didn't know what to say. We finally figured out that he was talking about facial hair. I told him it was hair, he didn't believe it. We talked about Mike's whiskers and how they would grow out into a beard if he didn't shave them. Then I told him that when he was a big man like his dad that he would grow a beard too.

This was Caden's response to that. I laughed my head off. His eyes just about popped out of his head. I wish you all could have seen it. He sat and thought about it for a few minutes and then said, "that's gross mom!"

Caden's preschool class had a field trip today to one of the local apple orchards. It was pretty fun. We got to go on a wagon ride out to pick our own apple, play in the maze, climb on the giant hay bales, and looked at the animals. They also had a glass beehive inside their little shop. Pretty cool! We were also treated with apple donuts and fresh apple juice. Yummy!!
