Caden was saying that he wanted a toy pet this morning so Mike told me to leave it at that. We headed out to Toys R Us this morning in the -11 degree weather. I just couldn't bring myself to pay the large amounts of money it takes to buy those life like pets that they sale at the toy store. Crazy!! We settled for a pound puppy that barks and wags it's tail. On clearance for $10. Can't get a better deal than that.
After the toy store we ran a few stores down to the pet store to soak it all in. We were looking at getting some fish and Caden had this balloon eyed gold fish all picked out. When the sales woman came to help us, she informed me that we would have to get a really large tank for gold fish because they grow to be 14 inches or more. I was told that if you put them into a smaller tank that you stunt the growth of their outer body, but the internal organs continue to grow until they explode and they die. NICE! We settled for the nice beta fish with the small tank. The lady thought it would be a good place to start to see if fish are really for us.
So now we have a fish named Gordon or Joey or who knows. Caden keeps changing his mind. (These are both names of boys in his preschool class.) :)
